DISNEY WORLD TRIP
While at Disney World students participated in two learning seminars ( Disney's World of Physics: Properties of Motion and Wild By Nature) conducted by Disney facilitators.
Disney's World of Physics was an interactive program that cast the students in the role of Theme Park Scientist as they rode their favorite rides and then used the Scientific Method and math skills to explore the basic properties of force, motion, gravity. Concepts included velocity, potential and kinetic energy, inertia, etc.
Disney's Wild By Nature
Through animal observations, data collection, and hands-on- activities students learn how animal behavior is helping us preserve and manage critically endangered species and their habitats.
