GLOBE
PROGRAM: a global
research project in which students around the world collect local environmental data
for use by scientists for actual research studies.

Life Lab students collaborate with scientists
thru collecting hydrology and atmospheric data from sites near our school and
transmitting these findings via the internet to the Globe data base. Globe
scientists then chart and graph the students' data to use for scientific
research. (Note:
We traced our water from the holding pond site all the way to the Gulf.
The
drainage water from the holding pond flows into Town Creek. Town Creek flows into Warrior Creek, which flows into Little River.
Little River flows through the Withlacoochee River to Suwannee River and finally into the
Gulf of Mexico. }
For
the past three years our students have received recognition from Globe for their
hydrology study and for being the only Georgia Elementary School to be placed on the Chief
Scientist Honor Roll. This distinctive award was
received for consistently reporting data in ways and amounts that was
particularly helpful for scientific analysis. GREAT
JOB, STUDENTS!
You can access our data from your home computer at http://www.globe.gov.
