INNER WINDOW
Metaphorical Thinking and the Inner Window Dylan and John
1. In what way has my life been like a river?
John: When I run I’m rapid like a river. 2. In what ways has my life been like a mountain. Dylan: My life has been like a mountain because no matter how many people walk on you- in other words- no matter how many people pick on me I’ll always get by. I may be hurt but I will get by! John: Mountains are tall and so am I. 3. In what way has my life been like a tree in a forest of trees Dylan: My life has been like a tree in a forest of trees because I am never alone or abandoned. There is always someone there to care for me. John: I feel like a tree in a forest of trees because I’m tall and when I’m play basketball I am among everyone else who is tall. 4. Dylan: I would rather be a flower in a rainforest so I would have someone to care for me and someone to look up too. John: I would rather be a bird because there are allot of things I would like to see from above. 5. Dylan: I am like a candle and my life is the flame because some day the flame will get put out ,at least , until we get to heaven. John: I am more like a candle because when a candle runs out of the wick it can’t burn and when I run out of energy I can't run. 6. If you could improve the above item what improvements would you make? Dylan: I would improve the item by letting the flame (the life within me) forever burn. John: To keep my light burning, I would increase the energy source.
Metaphorical Thinking and the Inner Window Author:
Heather 1. In what way has my life been like a river? My life has like a river because it is always on the move and in a hurry to reach the ocean where I can really explore. In what ways has my life like a mountain? My life has been like a mountain because there have always been ups and downs. Even though working my way up is tough, it is actually the most challenging and best part. In what way has my life been like a tree in a forest of trees? My life has been like a tree in a forest of trees because I feel I'm a part of a bigger picture. Although I may be the only Evergreen in a Mahogany forest, I sometimes think as though I help make the picture brighter, but other ti I WOULD RATHER BE a bird roaming free with no worries and with freedom; nothing holding back. What item best describes you? The item that best describes me is a candle. A candle is like me because I think I light up my room with my personality. I want a nice, pleasant, long-lasting beautiful life (like the scent of a melon-layered candle. How would you improve the candle? If I could improve the candle, I would make it have more beautiful layers but along with the good there would be bad, sad and embarrassing times. These times may not seem good, but you learn from them. |
